March Updates

It's so hard to keep up with this blog! Sorry guys! Wanted to give some updates for March. Our youth are doing some great things. We have started raising money for the 30 Hour Famine, an event where we will not eat for 30 hours to experience hunger and help bring awareness to and raise funds for the hungry in countries that don't have any government support for the impoverished. The youth are excited about this event and so am I! I can't wait to see what happens!

We are also involved in Holy Week with the youth choir leading the Good Friday service and performing at the Easter Sunrise service.

This month also brought some new adventures; the Spring Fling and Journey to the Cross. The youth stuffed and hid eggs and assisted with various activities during the Spring Fling, a free community event! The Journey to the Cross was an opportunity to experience the events of the Passion in a different way. The youth set up this event and assisted in guiding visitors through the church to a variety of stations. We couldn't have done this without the leadership of Cathy Patterson! Thanks Cathy!

April has one big weekend- the last one! We will be doing our 30 Hour Famine and Youth Sunday is the same weekend!

On July 29, we had two guest speakers talk about missions. The Bible study was very short, but it will be posted today. What do you all think about when you hear the word "missions"? How do you feel about how we do missions in our youth group and in your own life?
